Getting started

From account to first production site

Create your account, pick a plan on the subscriptions page and get access to the client panel. There you connect your domain, publish the DNS records, enable the Let's Encrypt certificate and start your first site or container. VPS and dedicated servers come with root access and the SSH key you uploaded at checkout.

Server security guide

Questions and answers, with concrete commands

The production-server security guide answers the questions teams actually ask: why node_modules should not stay on production, how to harden SSH, how to configure the firewall, how to back up with the 3-2-1 rule, how to enable HTTPS with HSTS, when you need a WAF. Every question has its own page with a short answer, examples and commands.

DevOps, CyberSecurity and programming hours

Included every month in your plan

Every subscription includes monthly service hours: 1 h from the cPanel Advanced plan up, 1–8 h on VPS, 5–10 h on dedicated servers depending on the plan, and 10 h on GPU servers. You request them from the client panel under “DevOps services”, propose a deadline and the team delivers. Hours do not roll over; work beyond the quota is accepted and billed separately.

Mailu and SMTP relay

E-mail on your domain, with correct DNS

The Mailu + SMTP relay guide covers self-hosted mailboxes, a separate relay for transactional messages sent by applications and the DNS records deliverability depends on: MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC and rDNS. It includes configuration examples and how to check your sending reputation.

Migration without downtime

From another provider to 4hosting

Migration is free and planned together: we inventory sites, databases and mailboxes, copy the data, test on a temporary domain and switch DNS last, with a short TTL, so you lose no traffic or e-mail. For cPanel we use account transfers; for VPS, rsync and snapshots.

Backup and restore

Daily copies and restore tests

cPanel plans include daily backups; on VPS and dedicated servers you define the retention policy, off-site copies and encryption together with the team. We recommend the 3-2-1 rule and a scheduled test restore, because a backup that was never restored is not a guarantee.

Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD

Containers and continuous delivery in production

The service pages describe how we run containers in production: minimal images built in CI, non-root user, isolated networks, secrets outside the image, blue-green or canary rollouts and observability with Grafana, Prometheus and Loki. Each topic has a dedicated page with steps and technologies.

Infrastructure and compliance

EU datacentres, DDoS, GDPR

Servers run in a European Union datacentre in Frankfurt, on AMD Ryzen/EPYC and Intel Core/Xeon with DDR4/DDR5 memory (ECC on the server tiers) and enterprise NVMe, with L3/L4 anti-DDoS protection included. We sign an Article 28 GDPR data processing agreement and work aligned with ISO 27001. Local VAT is broken out on every invoice.
