Managed Kubernetes Hosting in Romania

DevOps services · Romania

Managed Kubernetes hosting in Romania for teams that would rather ship features than babysit a cluster. We pick the lightest setup that fits, Docker Compose, k3s or full Kubernetes, build it on VPS or dedicated servers in Frankfurt, and keep operating it. Support is in English and Romanian, and DevOps hours already sit inside your plan.

  • Cluster built, run and documented by us
  • Monthly DevOps hours included in your plan
  • Servers in the EU: Frankfurt
  • 1 h/month from cPanel Advanced; VPS 1–8 h; dedicated 5–10 h depending on plan; GPU 10 h

What we build and operate

We start from your application and its real traffic, not from a reference architecture. Then we write the Dockerfiles and manifests, build the cluster on a VPS or a dedicated server, and wire up ingress, certificates, autoscaling and backups. After handover we stay on the operational side: version upgrades, node replacement, incident triage and a cost review when the cluster starts growing faster than the product. The repositories and the credentials stay yours.

  • Dockerfiles, Helm charts and manifests tailored to your own services
  • Ingress, automatic TLS, horizontal autoscaling and resource caps
  • etcd and volume backups with a restore we have actually run
  • Kubernetes upgrades planned so users never meet a maintenance page

Best practices we apply on every cluster

A cluster lives or dies on its defaults. We keep one fixed checklist, tick it on every delivery and write it into the handover pack, so your team or another contractor can continue without guessing. None of it is exotic. These are the settings that separate a cluster that repairs itself from one that needs a person at every deploy, and we rerun the same list whenever you spend hours on a review.

  • Multi-stage builds and minimal images that run as a non-root user
  • Requests and limits on every container, with liveness and readiness probes
  • One namespace per environment, with NetworkPolicies between them
  • A private registry that scans every image before promotion
  • PodDisruptionBudgets and rolling updates, so a release causes no downtime

Compose, k3s or full Kubernetes: sizing it honestly

Many teams in Romania meet this decision when a second customer or a second environment arrives. If you run a few services with predictable traffic, Docker Compose on one VPS is cheaper and simpler to operate. k3s fits projects that want controlled rollouts and autoscaling without a redundant control plane. Multi-node Kubernetes pays off with spiky traffic, several teams deploying in parallel, or availability commitments you have signed with your own customers. We say so when you do not need it.

  • Compose: one VPS, a handful of services, minimal upkeep
  • k3s: rolling releases and autoscaling on a small footprint
  • Full Kubernetes: several nodes, high availability, parallel teams

How the included hours are used

Every plan carries monthly DevOps hours: 1 h from cPanel Advanced upwards, 1–8 h on VPS, 5–10 h on dedicated servers depending on the plan, and 10 h on GPU servers. You request them in the client panel under DevOps Services and propose a deadline. Hours do not roll over, so we plan them around your calendar, for example a migration in one month and upgrades in the next. Extra hours are accepted and billed separately.

Every plan includes monthly hours of DevOps, CyberSecurity and Programming work delivered by the 4hosting team: 1 h from cPanel Advanced upwards, 1–8 h on VPS, 5–10 h on dedicated servers depending on the plan, and 10 h on GPU servers. You request them from the client panel, unused hours are not carried into the next month, and extra hours are accepted and billed separately.

How we work

  1. Request it in the panel

Open a request under DevOps Services in the client panel, describe the application and propose a deadline that suits your own release plan.

  2. We scope the work

We agree the architecture, estimate the hours against your monthly allowance and tell you plainly what is covered and what would be billed separately.

  3. We build it and watch it under load

We build the cluster, migrate the services, rehearse a rollout and a rollback, then watch resource usage during the first days of real traffic.

  4. Handover with documentation

You receive the architecture diagram, manifests in your own repository, the rollback procedure and the checklist we repeat at every upgrade.

Use cases

SaaS team in Bucharest

A B2B platform outgrows its single VPS. It moves to k3s with separate development, staging and production namespaces, so developers stop blocking each other's test runs.

Online retailer with a November peak

A shop that books most of its revenue in the autumn sales gets autoscaling for the storefront and the order workers, plus limits that keep one runaway job from starving a node.

Outsourcing studio in Cluj-Napoca

A studio building for clients across Europe runs one cluster per client, shares a private registry with scanned images and keeps access separate for every namespace.

Frequently asked questions

  • Is Kubernetes worth it for a small team or startup?

Usually not below ten services and one production environment. Docker Compose on a VPS is cheaper and easier to run. Kubernetes starts to pay off when you need autoscaling, separate environments, controlled rollouts or several nodes for redundancy, and we tell you honestly where you stand during scoping.

  • What does managed Kubernetes cost per month?

The control plane is rarely the expensive part. Nodes, storage and engineering time are. We size the smallest setup that works, and part of the engineering time is already covered by the hours in your plan. Current prices are on the plans page.

  • Where should I host my Docker containers: a VPS or a managed platform?

A VPS with Docker Compose is the best start for a few services. When you need autoscaling or several environments, we move the same containers to k3s or Kubernetes on our servers. You keep root access and standard tooling, so nothing locks you in.

  • Can I run Docker or Kubernetes on cPanel hosting?

No. cPanel plans run classic LAMP sites. Containers need root access, so they run on VPS, dedicated or GPU servers in our Frankfurt data centre. If you are moving from another provider, the migration is free and we handle it.

  • What happens if a release breaks production?

Each application has versioned rollouts, so going back is one command rather than a rebuild. We keep earlier images in the registry and document the procedure, including what to do about database migrations, in the guide you receive at handover.

  • Can we take over operations ourselves after handover?

Yes. You get the manifests in your own repository and the documentation, so your team or another contractor can carry on. Most teams keep upgrades, backups and incident triage with us and run feature development in-house.
