General Terms and Conditions

Date of entry into force: 20/09/2026

These General Terms regulate the use of the services offered through 4hosting.net. This document must be read together with the Service Agreement and the Privacy Policy.

1. Field of application

The Terms apply to every user and customer who accesses, or contracts for, services on 4hosting.net.

Where the documents conflict, the Service Agreement prevails on technical and SLA matters, and the Privacy Policy prevails on the processing of data.

2. Account, eligibility and responsibility

  • You must have the legal capacity to enter into contracts.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything done in your account.
  • The details you provide must be correct, complete and kept up to date.

3. Services, orders and payments

  • The characteristics of the services are those displayed at the time of the order.
  • Prices, fees and billing periods are communicated transparently at checkout or in the offer.
  • Failure to pay can lead to suspension or termination, within the time limits set out in the Service Agreement.
  • Moving to a higher plan (upgrade). You can move to a plan with a higher price at any time, directly from your account panel. The upgrade takes effect at once: the features and limits of the new plan are activated as soon as the upgrade is confirmed. On an upgrade you pay the full price of the new plan for the current billing interval, from which the unused value of the current plan is deducted, calculated proportionally to the days left in the cycle, by this formula: price of the new plan − (price of the current plan × days left ÷ total number of days in the current billing cycle). The renewal date does not change; from the next renewal onwards, the subscription is invoiced at the full price of the new plan. The amount due on upgrade is collected when the upgrade is made, through the payment method of the subscription (saved card, or bank transfer against a proforma invoice).
  • If the upgrade changes the billing interval (for instance from monthly to annual), the new subscription begins at the moment of the upgrade, and the unused value of the remaining period is deducted from the first invoice as an internal service credit linked to the account, applied until it is exhausted. The service credit is not money: it has no cash value, cannot be refunded, cannot be transferred and cannot be paid out in money, in line with the non-refundable nature of the fees provided for in this section. Moving to a plan with a lower price (downgrade) involves no payment and no refund: the unused value of the current plan is converted into extra days at the new price, and the renewal date is extended accordingly.

4. Acceptable use

  • Use for illegal or abusive activities, or for activities that affect the security of the platform, is prohibited.
  • Spam, phishing, malware, unauthorised access and scanning without consent are prohibited.
  • The provider may suspend the services immediately where there is a major risk.
