Payments and VAT invoices in Romania

Payments and VAT invoices in Romania: pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank transfer, and get every invoice from a Romanian company through e-Factura.

Ways to pay

Card payments go through Stripe, and bank transfers go to our account in Romania. We add no hidden fees to any of the methods. Prices are shown in euros. A customer in Romania pays and receives the invoice in RON, converted at the National Bank of Romania (BNR) rate of the payment day plus 5%; customers in other countries pay and are invoiced in euros.

Bank card

Instant

Visa and Mastercard from any bank, processed by Stripe. The invoice reaches your inbox within five minutes of the payment.

Bank transfer

B2B

A payment order to our bank account in Romania. This is the usual route for company purchases and larger amounts, and the invoice is issued once the money has arrived.

Apple Pay and Google Pay

Quick

If a card is already in your Apple or Google wallet, paying takes a single tap, still processed by Stripe.

Saved card

Recurring

Optional automatic charging for subscriptions, so that a monthly or annual renewal never interrupts a running service.

Invoices that fit Romanian bookkeeping

Each payment produces an invoice issued by Special Software Development SRL, a Romanian company registered in Bucharest. VAT appears on its own line, and the invoice is submitted to the e-Factura system through the ANAF SPV, in line with the B2B reporting obligation. Your accountant receives a document that already follows local rules.

  • Issued by a company registered in Romania, with VAT on a separate line
  • Submitted automatically to e-Factura (ANAF SPV)
  • Delivered by email as a PDF and an XML file
  • Company details filled in from the CUI (tax ID) you enter
  • Credit notes and pro forma invoices available from the client panel
  • Every invoice kept in the archive of your account

Which method suits which situation

All four methods lead to the same invoice, so the choice is about your own workflow and not about what you receive.

  • A start-up in Cluj-Napoca ordering its first VPS can pay by card, which puts the service live within minutes of the payment.
  • An IT outsourcing company in Timisoara buying a dedicated server may prefer a bank transfer, so that the purchase follows its internal approval chain.
  • An online shop in Bucharest whose subscription must never lapse can keep a card on file and let renewals run on their own.
  • A founder with a card in a phone wallet can pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay without typing card details.

What to know before you pay

A few limits are worth stating up front, so that nothing about the payment step surprises your finance team.

  • With a bank transfer, the invoice is issued and the service is activated after the money has settled, not when you send the order.
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay depend on your device and on your bank supporting them; the card option always works as a fallback.
  • Credit notes and pro forma invoices are issued from the client panel.
  • Amounts and the invoicing currency are shown on the plan cards and at checkout.

Subscriptions and renewals

Choose among the billing cycles offered for your plan at checkout. You can cancel, change plan or pay the difference whenever you need to, and a saved card keeps renewals running without a reminder from your side.
